The PTSO stands for Parent Teacher Student Organization and was founded at AHS in the fall of 2001. The organization meets monthly with the purpose of providing an open line of communication between home and the school regarding extra curricular activities, the Renaissance program, and the performing arts. At the senior high level, students rarely bring notices home. Through press releases sent by the PTSO in the Agawam Advertiser, and PTSO presence at many functions, parents and families are continually kept aware of the events at Agawam High School.
The PTSO meets on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the AHS Teacher's Cafeteria. All students, teachers, and parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
